Great location, walking distance to strip. Modern rooms were clean. Breakfast was nice with many options. Coffee station is always open. That's the good. The bad is noise level due to lack of insulation between some parts of the wall and also the doors. This seems to be a common issue with recent construction probably to cut costs. The main issue are clueless and selfish parents who let their kids run wild and talk loud/scream in the halls like they're the only one staying at the hotel. Kids will be kids, but we all know those kinds of unaware and careless parents. I asked for a quiet room away from elevators but I was placed right in the middle of a kid's fun zone and screaming baby. They could have been more thoughtful about where to put me. Low water pressure is a common thing to all hotels in that area, no exception here. It was nice to have the large soap dispensers on the walls.

We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Gatlinburg! The hotel was very nice and clean, and the free breakfast was good with plenty of options. The water park was awesome and a huge hit for our family. The only thing that would make this place even better is adding a hot tub. Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come back!

A short walk into Gatlinburg makes this a good place to stay if you’re visiting. We’re from England and found that if you find a hotel that’s clean and comfortable as a chain then stick with what you know. Ice machines are a welcome find in these hotels, especially in the September heat. Breakfast is a serve yourself and was well stocked at this hotel with plenty of choice. Toiletries are provided as is free parking. With an amazing view of the Smoky mountains.

Great location. Very clean. Beds comfortable. Never stayed in a hotel that was that clean and smelled really clean. The only down fall was the hot water was awful, it was like warm. After walking in the cold weather all day, when getting back you want a nice hot shower, we didn’t get that. Even had maintenance look @ it. Issue wasn’t resolved. Oh & excellent breakfast.

The hotel staff is absolutely wonderful. Thomas, Lance, and Marcus at the front desk go above and beyond for awesome customer service, A+. The rooms are top notch, perfectly clean and hot water pressure is great. The complimentary breakfast is so tasty with a variety of options! I guarantee there is something everyone in your family will love. The pool is amazing and so clean! Our kids loved the waterpark-style area. It's great for grown ups too! This hotel is within walking distance of Gatlinburg's downtown strip. We made the 1/2 mile walk with 4 kids down to The Village. Perfectly doable, even with multiple strollers and small kids. The bottom line: The hotel staff make the stay above and beyond enjoyable with top-notch customer service. You can call the front desk and a staff member answers immediately, ready to answer any questions or bring up extra blankets and towels. We will be returning!

Was this location under a bit of construction, yes. However, that didn't interrupt any of the enjoyment or kindness we experienced. From the front desk gentlemen to the breakfast crew, everyone was pleasant & approachable. The rooms were clean, the pool area was fantastic, the breakfast was varied, hot, & delicious, & the location was convenient to walking the nearby shops. We don't travel much, however the past two nights solidified that, if a cabin isn't on the radar for a Gatlinburg stay, the Holiday Inn Express definitely is an amazing option! We stopped in Gatlinburg to break-up a long drive from a family visit. The water park area brought much needed playfulness for all of us, young teen boys & Mom. We felt relaxed & refreshed as we left for the rest of our travel plans. The only recommendation I would like to offer is a hot tub. A hot tub would definitely be an additional bonus to a traveler's relaxation. The powerful hot shower worked just fine after an evening of water slides though.

Here is a review from a person that has spent enough time at different IHG places on the east coast. Yes, the price is higher and yes you could save some money with staying in Pigeon Forge at another chain hotel, but here is what you will miss. The rooms are as clean, just like 90% of the other IHG locations I have stayed at. The distance to downtown gatlinburg is in walking distance. Yes it is a little up hill on the way back from the town, but it is not a bad walk. As I stated, the price is a little higher, but I do take in account that this one IHG has the best fresh breakfast of ANY IHG that I have stayed at. The cost of breakfast in gatlinburg can be semi-costly (unless of course you do fast food and for that, you would need to drive a little distance). I figure I am not paying for a great breakfast everyday, that saves us some money. The times I have been at this IHG, the customer service people have been friendly. The last time we were there, they had a water leak in the lobby from the ceiling and yes IHG did give everyone notification that mid day on a certain day the water would be shutoff. I do not blame them for this. Things happen and I am glad that they corrected the issue quickly. What am I not a fan of at this hotel? Parking. We always seem to go at peak times, so parking is a struggle. Yes, there are some spots in the back of the hotel, but majority of the parking is in the front. Depending on the time of day you arrive, you could struggle finding a parking spot in the front. This is not a blame on IHG because just like most properties in the mountains, there is limited land. They give you a tag to hang from you mirror to stop non-hotel people from getting free parking. Do they monitor that everyone has this hanging tag from the mirror? I would say no and I found a few cars that did not have this tag. So one improvement is they should at least check the parking lot in the peak hours (evening hours). It ihas a beautiful area to eat, but the pool was small. If you are willing to pay little extra money, but get tons of benefits (walking distance to downtown gatlinburg, excellent free breakfast, etc.), it is for sure worth it!

Exceptionally well kept place. Have stayed here for the past 2 years while visiting a friend. Beds are so comfy. Short walk to main street made this place an excellent choice. Indoor pool, fitness room were very clean as well. Front desk staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area and suggested places to check out! It helps when they employ the locals. Would definitely recommend this place!
